don't you just wish you had a 'curita' for your life sometimes? you just put it on when you're bleeding too much or to protect the cut from getting infected, and then you just take it off when it's all better.
'curita' means band-aid in spanish, or at least that's what they call them in El Salvador. the direct translation is 'little cure', in spanish we love to use the diminutive of words, i guess it adds a more personal touch.
in the first photo i'm staring at one i had on my thumb all day yesterday, sometimes i bite and bite and bite the skin around my nails so much i start bleeding and i can't make it stop unless i put a band-aid on it. it would be marvelous if this simple, practical solution could be applied to our lives.

art deco disco fever

sunnies - thrifted
this is the result of listening to 'Funk Box' by Sugarhill Gand on repeat all day. decided to make an outfit post dedicated to my newest find, this bad ass art deco print 70s shirt, which you can now buy here. the gif is a lot more rewarding if you have the song playing in the background, i'm just about grooving to the beat.

black & neon
got rid of my borders, freakin' finally! if people are so fixated in not having them then why do the blogger designers still incorporate them in the css? but whatever... i learned a little something today, can't hurt. the neon top is my new purchase, what better way to make it stand out than by surrounding it with black; so black from head to toe it was with a pop of neon. Hope ya'll are getting some sun!

mono plaid
this is another number i got from my friend's etsy shop Sweet Sorrow Vintage, the baby blue plaid pastel top. casual and comfortable is the idea today but extend the plaid theme with a monochromatic feel. the dark blue plaid chiffon oversized shirt proved to be the perfect match for the top. they make a great marriage I think.

"can't you see this woman is a nun!"
whoever has seen the film 'Nacho Libre' will understand the title. my outfit well, looks very nun-ish. sub-consciously inspired by minimalism and nun attire. consciously i was completely unaware of the inspiration, if it was there in the first place. mainly i wanted to wear a skirt and not feel cold, which, mind you the sun was blazing in all its glory but you never know in these parts. i also wanted the same movement throughout the whole outfit (both garments kind of fall in the same manner) irrespective of the silhouette, therefore making me look quite nun-ish, hiding all my bumps and bits.
